Peace Day Celebration – Kinder 1

On Monday, September 22nd, we celebrated Peace Day at school. In Kinder 1, we talked about what peace means and how we can show it in our daily lives. The children shared their ideas, such as being kind to friends, sharing, using gentle hands, and helping one another.
We also introduced our Daily Peace Affirmations to guide us every day in the classroom:

I use kind words with my friends.

I take turns and share toys.

I listen when someone else is speaking.

I help my friends when they need me.

I include others in my games.

I solve problems by talking, not fighting.

I take care of our classroom and materials.

I give smiles to make others feel happy.
I say “please” and “thank you.”

I respect everyone’s space and feelings.

It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to reflect on how peace starts with small, everyday actions and caring for those around us.
Question for families: What peace actions can you take at home with your child?
