KINDER 1 Last week, the Kinder 1 children worked very hard preparing a special surprise for their mummies. They lovingly created a beautiful flower vase, which they painted and decorated with their picture, before adding some lovely flowers to complete their gift. They also learnt a sweet song to share on Mother’s Day.
The children were very excited and proud to express their love and gratitude in such a meaningful way. At this age, mothers play an incredibly important role in children’s lives. They provide love, security, comfort, guidance and encouragement during some of the most important years of emotional and social development. Young children learn through the everyday moments they share with their mothers — through affection, routines, conversations, play and care. These experiences help build confidence, independence, empathy and a strong sense of belonging. Mother’s Day is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and recognise all the love, patience and dedication that mothers give every single day. We are very grateful for the beautiful partnership between home and school and for the support and care our Kinder 1 families provide to their children. A Special Activity to Share at Home 💗 A lovely activity families can do together is a “Memory Jar”. Children can decorate a small jar or container and, together with their mummy, fill it with little notes sharing favourite memories, things they love about each other, kind words or special moments they have shared together. It is a beautiful way to encourage conversation, gratitude and emotional connection while creating a keepsake families can revisit throughout the year. Happy Mother’s Day to all our amazing mummies! 💐
